Israel Journey 2020

Exploring Borders from the Ottoman Empire to Netanyahu

Israel Journey 2020 picture

Being in Israel is wonderful. Being there with B’nai Shalom friends and our rabbi, who can fill in the ancient and modern history of every site is even better.

B’nai Shalom’s Israel Journey 2020, led by Rabbi Robert L. Tobin, will consider the country’s geopolitics and changing borders over time. We will visit a West Bank settlement, drive along the security fence, tour the borders with Lebanon and Syria, and travel from Kiryat Shemona in the north as far south as our sister city, Arad, in the northeastern Negev. Steve Linde, editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Report and former editor of The Jerusalem Post will provide up-to-the-minute insight on Middle East and Israeli politics.
For richness and texture along the way, we will also explore Megiddo, the Tulip Winery, Tzfat, Rosh Pina, Tel Aviv, Sderot, and – of course – Jerusalem. An optional Eilat-Petra extension will be available.
